SMART Material Control™ TDSIC Material Program Manager

OnTraxSys was brought in to provide full-scope material control for the Customer’s material LDY which services capital projects across the region.

Execution Highlights:

• Daily material management for over 9,800 tagged components, including wire & cable, insulators, assemblies, electrical enclosures, switches and miscellaneous material used to support capital projects.
• Optimized utilization of partial reels based on pull length.
• Redesigned material LDY, storage and tagging to support project execution Implemented controlled issuance protocols to minimize loss, overhandling, and inventory confusion.
• Materials to be released in sync with field install sequences.
• Developed and launched material reallocation program to transfer excess material to new projects.
• Coordinate job site deliveries across NIPSCO service territory.

Measured Impact:

• >99% on-time material readiness aligned with field install needs.
• Reallocated approximately $7.8M in excess inventory to new projects.
